addresses
It is now customary to use as little punctuation as possible in addresses, omitting commas at the ends of lines and before street names. Personal titles are also becoming less usual, especially when addressing a woman (to avoid having to choose between the alternatives Miss, Mrs, and Ms), e.g.:
Jane Smith
44 High Street
Newtown
(A postal code can be put on the same line as the town or below it.)
